Chris graduated from Memorial University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), majoring in Accounting. He won the 1994 gold medal for obtaining the highest cumulative average amongst all graduating business students. He then articled with the Chartered Accountancy (C. A.) firm Grant Thornton, receiving his C.A. designation in 1996, and winning a place on the C.A. Honour Roll for highest marks attained. In 1998, Chris left public accounting and started his career as an assistant controller in Construction and Fabrication by joining the team at M&M Engineering Limited. Eventually, in 2012, M&M Engineering became part of the Pennecon family and Chris’s position was elevated to General Manager – Finance. His areas of expertise include financial reporting, administration, project accounting and controls, forecasting, budgeting, business valuation and tax.
