Description: In April 2009, Pennecon Heavy Civil Ltd. was awarded the $12 million contract for the construction of the Highway 97 Sintich Road to Continental way Overpass in Prince George, B.C.

The construction consists of upgrading Hwy 97 to a four lane standard with the addition of two travel lanes and a median over 3.5 km. Work also included signalization and improved access for the Sintich Road Intersection along with improved underground storm drainage. A 230 meter long soil-anchored retaining wall was required as part of the project.

The project, located within the municipality of Prince George, commenced in June 2009 and construction will be completed in Fall 2010.
